We're the family behind Scout: Coffee + Tea.

A true mom & pop shop. Katrina, Phil & the inspiration for the store, Stella Scout. 

Behind the name is not only our little girl, it's the whole reason for opening Scout.

 

Having a toddler who doesn't sit still makes it very clear how we as parents are also always on the move. We want to create a place where parents, grand parents, or anyone in charge of a little one can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while it's still hot.

 

We wanted to create a space where you feel comfortable and where your child feels comfortable, with food you feel good about eating and a place where you can bring friends or meet new ones.

Stella was born in Victoria but Phil & Katrina are born & raised Winnipegers. Shortly after Stella was born we wanted to move back home and be with family. With moving back we wanted to bring this idea back with us, which came from a little shop in Victoria. 

We bought a cute little home in the West End and it was really important to us to have the shop nearby.

 

We love our community and our neighborhood. And we can't wait to meet and serve our neighbours!
